Is your software FERPA compliant?

FERPA was enacted by congress to protect the privacy of students and their parents. In basic terms, student information is protected from being shared with a third party. Know My Day securely stores teacher created reports and parent responses (where applicable) on Amazon servers. Know My Day does not have access to the educational information within the reports. Only the educators and parents who have created accounts may view this information. In this way, all information specifically regarding the child is protected from view from any third parties. Educator and parent information is not shared with any other parties

We do not share, rent, or sell information to third parties, but we may disclose information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims or government inquiries and to protect and defend the rights, interests, property, safety, and security of Know My Day, LLC, users, or the public.
